Benefits of the PCL model include focused professional development for all staff, aligned instructional practices that translate to a consistent message to families, common instructional language, participation in professional learning communities around common needs, and assistance to school teams in developing a systemic plan for implementation of the model. Protocols, norms and working agreements are used to promote efficient, engaging, purposeful working cultures.
